In this one-hour workshop co-presented by attorney Ralph Simpson, we will introduce you to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). You will learn how to request information from public agencies, including how and when to send a FOIA request.
Ralph Simpson is a long time Detroit attorney, who currently specializes in Freedom of Information Act and Open Meetings Act counseling and litigation. Mr Simpson has served in a variety of volunteer positions, including President of the ACLU of Michigan, Chair of the State Bar of Michigan Civil Liberties Committee and Deputy Chair of the Detroit Civil Service Commission.
This training is open to all Documenters. A Zoom link will be provided to registrants on the morning of the workshop.
