256 cases closed in error. Add to cases would be 1203 open cases. 757 back logged. Commissioners have spreadsheet of investigators assigned to those.

Short term action plan…. Close easy ones 1st Close 2 per week, and Performance Plans for those not meeting that. Fill positions and backfills faster $$$$ for people and new systems to help productivity- Prioritize cases close to 1 yr old

The Board of Police Commissioners has supervisory control and oversight of the Police Department, including plenary authority over citizen complaints and the power to appoint fact finders, subpoena witnesses, administer oaths, take testimony, and require the production of evidence. The Board also appoints a civilian as Director of Police Personnel and approves all promotions made by the Chief.
