The Summit County Planning Commission is an 11 member commission which has the responsibility to review proposed subdivision of land within the unincorporated lands of Summit County through the process outlined in the Summit County Subdivision Regulations. The Summit County Planning Commission also serves to advise and make recommendations to the townships of Summit County in regards to proposed amendments of zoning texts or maps. The Summit County Planning Commission meets once a month, typically the last Thursday of the month at 3:00 pm in County Council Chambers, the meetings are open to the public.
